What Your Coffee Order Says About You
Whether you want to admit it to yourself or not, your barista is judging you. After working as a barista for years, I have come to make my own assumptions about what you must be like based on your coffee order. Here is a glimpse into your coffee psyche.
Literally Any Frappe
Typically, if I have to use the blender in any capacity and you are over the age of 12, I have to assume you just attempted to start liking coffee. Otherwise, you are looking to have a dessert-- not coffee. While I can understand the pleasure one can derive from a milkshake, your local coffee shop is not where you should go to fill your blended sugar void.
Plain Black Coffee
You are low maintenance and go with the flow in life. While you recognize there are plenty of good options on the menu, you know your trusted brew can get you through the day just fine without all the calories. You tread a fine line with this order, however. This order can also show that you are intimidated by the extensive choices and don't know much more about coffee besides when it is brewed black.
Caramel Macchiato
The epitome of basic. This drink has seemingly become a security blanket for those who order it and their significant others who don't "get coffee." A great drink to dip your toes into the ocean that is coffee options, but is more like training wheels or a starting off point than it should be you go-to for years.
Cold Brew- No Matter the Weather
I find that people who drink cold coffee no matter the weather are youthful and can't help but stick to the bread and butter goodness that is your local shop's cold brew. Easily customizable, those who get cold brew tend to have varying personalities but are very fun-loving and easy going.

Full disclosure: I am in fact part of this crowd... I love a good cold brew with hazelnut syrup and some cream. YUM!
